Waiting List...
We have enjoyed continued growth since the date we opened in 1996.  Membership is now at capacity, requiring the use of a waiting list to get in.  We have had days when over 100 people have used the range on a nice Saturday.  When it is this busy, we have to take steps to esure all the members have an opportunity to enjoy the range without over crowding.  Yes, you may have to share a range with another group of shooters but you will not be turned away because there is no room.
To get on the list for an open membership slot, we require a deposit of non-refundable $50 deposit that covers your initiation fee when you do join.  Slots are created when a member fails to renew in the 30 day period after his membership expires.  His slot is offered to the first guy on the list who has 10 days to respond and execute the membership.  We free up about 10 a month on average.  Some months we see less but rarely any more.

Range Truck...
I recently bid on and won a 1990 M923A2 and got it home from Robins AFB in Warner Robins GA.  It is going to serve a few purposes here.  First; it turns heads everywhere it goes.  It isn't every day that you see a 5 ton 6x6 in camo driving down the roads around here.  We are putting some identifying range logos and info on the doors and tailgate and using it for advertising.  Second, it runs great with only 15,000 miles on it so we plan to use it for most of our errands.  Yep, we are driving it anytime we have an excuse to.  Third, the last time I took a load of recovered lead to the scrap yard, it weighed 16000 lbs, took two trips, and the drums bent the frame on my 7,000 lb trailer.  This truck will haul it fine.
I found that the DOD dispenses its inventory through an auction service, govliquidations.com.  Prices for a 5 ton cargo truck ranged from $860 to $8800.  Most go for less than $5000 and have less than 20,000 miles on them and don't need much to get them running.  Most suffer only from being parked.  It is a really cool site with tons of stuff to poke through...

New Range Logo...
A while ago, I commissioned a local graphic designer to come up with a different and unique range logo we could start using on advertising, tshirts, ect..  She came up with this for us...  It reminds me a little of the charlies angels picture but the international symbols for target shooting.  Looks cleaner than my old logo I drew up.
